R-Panel
R-Panel is an exposed fastening system, meaning that the screws attaching the panel to the roof deck are visible. These screws are weathertight but if not installed properly, you could experience leaks. Make sure you hire a professional like Texas Stag that offers a 10 year warranty on workmanship.
R-Panel only has one color available which is galvalume.

Standing Seam
Standing seam is a concealed fastening system, installed by lapping and interlocking edges of adjacent panels. The panels are attached to the substrate using concealed clips and fasteners. A Standing Seam roof system does not have any exposed fasteners so they are better protected from the elements, making it harder for water to get through. This roof system offers a wide variety of colors.
